We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We had a great Christmas. Bobby got me some massages (and I have been wanting one FOREVER!) and I got him special edition Jenga. We also got ourselves an awesome used GameCube with Mario Kart! The family was really generous as well...we feel so loved.

I also purchased myself some sexy UGGS, which Bobby thinks are ridiculous. Whatev.

AND...we gave Brody his first microphone...so cute!

I now get to do some more shopping today at JC Penney with my gift card. I'm thinking maybe some new jeans. OR maybe something from Sephora. OR maybe a new bed set. We shall see.

I'm keeping my tree up for awhile. Screw everyone! HAHAHA!

For Christmas this week, I am making my aunt's world famous cheesy potatoes that I now claim as my own.

Honestly, they take no time to put together and although they take quite a bit to cook, they are ALWAYS a crowd pleaser!

1 Bag of Ore-Ida Southern Style Hashbrowns
2 c. Velveeta Cheese (cubed) - about 2/3 of the package
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
16 oz. Sour Cream (use the bad for you stuff...it tastes better)
2 sticks of butter (melted seperately)
1 medium onion (chopped)
4 c. Corn Flakes
Salt and Pepper to taste.

Mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1 stick of melted butter, chopped onion and salt and pepper. Add velveeta and then add the potatoes. Spread all of that in a 9x13 pan and then take the corn flakes and crush them up a bit and take the other stick of melted butter and mix those together. Spread that on top of the potato mixture and bake at 350 degrees for about and hour and 15 minutes. Keep an eye on it since everything cooks differently in different ovens.
Note: You can prepare ahead and refrigerate, but put the corn flakes on at the last minute.

YUMMO!

First and foremost, I am sorry about the lack of updates. I have REALLY been slacking! I promise to be better about coming here and updating you.

For the past 36 hours, I had this horrendous gastro-intestinal virus that made me so sick and miserable. My husband had the same thing at the same time so we couldn't even take care of each other. I had it a bit worse, so Bobby really stepped up and helped me out even though he was miserable himself. I shouldn't even say I had it worse. I just had more vomiting, which made it seem worse. In all honesty, we were both just happy to wake up this morning feeling a little bit more human. FINALLY!

So now it's back to the daily grind. I updated our car insurance today for $0 glass deductible just in case one of those pesky rocks that Colorado likes to pour on the road when it snows decides to attack the car. Trust me, it happens all the time. Why do they throw ROCKS on the road? I didn't like the salt in Michigan, either, but at least that didn't crack the hell out of your windshield!

Over the weekend, it was my birthday. YAY! I'm officially in my "late 20's" now I suppose. Bobby and I hit up the Denver Aquarium, Cheesecake Factory, did some shopping and had a wonderful time. It seriously was a blast.

Ok...I'm off to do some more rehydrating and need to finish up work so I can rest and relax some more. More updates soon...

It's Wednesday, y'all! We are halfway through the workweek, and I'm feeling...well...ok. I actually need some advil or something, but I'll live.

So, as I was getting ready this morning, I slipped on some comfy slip ons for the drive to Denver, and forgot to bring my shoes I was going to wear for the rest of the day. So I have a MAJOR fasion faux-pas today. Ugh on the ugliness of that!

Also, Oprah is driving me crazy. I guess she gained 40 pounds or something and is using this weight gain to "gain" ratings and mag sales. COME ON! If you have a personal trainer, cook, and nutritionalist, not to mention you are on TV everyday, you have no excuse but to BE THIN. She's bothering me now.

And T.R. Knight is leaving Grey's Anatomy. I think if more people leave I may stop watching the show. In fact, if McDreamy and McSteamy leave, I am DONE with it!

On another note, I am making Paula Deen's Beef Stroganoff for dinner tonight! YUMMO! Click here to make it yourself!

This weekend was so much fun! I got to spend some quality time with my husband and his family...and it was also my nephew, Brody's 1st Birthday!

I think he could be my child...do you? So what if he looks nothing like me. He's adorable and I love him. I really hope that when Bobby and I have kids they will be that cute!

Also, if you have not seen this, I crack up every single time I hear Beyonce's song Single Ladies. Her video is great as it is, but this is even funnier.

Honestly, I don't have anything else insightful to write. BUT...check this out. It's
Love Ralph Lauren Amethyst Luxury Edition. A $2,200 limited edition bottle, which has a 24-karat hand-painted cap adorned with a hand-cut one-of-a-kind amethyst. All I want is a pair of UGGS (my birthday is Sunday...feel free to send some).

What a GORGEOUS sunny day here in the Mile High City! Honestly, after 2 days of snow, I am ready for it all to melt and get warm again. That's the beauty of Colorado...wait a few minutes and the weather will change for you.

Tomorrow is my nephew Brody's 1st Birthday Party. He's not feeling very well today, so I hope he is better by tomorrow. :( Poor baby. Bobby and I got him the cutest little dumptruck/mega legos combo thingy. I really think he will love it. When we bought it at Toys R Us, Brody was with us and Bobby kept saying "Don't Look!"

OH! So I was at the mall the other day, and I was sitting by the Santa setup...this goth teenage chick walks by while these newlyweds were getting a photo taken of Santa with their little baby. He was adorable. So the chick says "Like your infant gives a f**k about Santa". I was all like "OH HELL NO!"

Photobucket

So, today I attempted the Britney from the tree lighting hair...I like it, but I need her hair stylist!

Today was a snowy relaxing day for me. I'm about to kick back, relax and watch a movie. Before I do that, though, I had to share the new Britney Spears video, "Circus" with you!

This video is hot, hot hot! The album is even hotter. It's set to sell 500,000 copies in its first week!

About Me

Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm originally from a suburb of Detroit, Michigan named Dearborn, but I have lived here in beautiful, sunny Colorado since June of 2006. I honestly could not ask for a better place to live.

I met my wonderful husband, Bobby, here in Colorado and we were married in February of 2008. Honestly, if I could have another wedding I would (not because the first one wasn't the best night of my life, but because I want another night just like that!). Bobby and I have the cutest dog in the world, Maddox, and a very handsome nephew, Brody.

In college at Wayne State University in Detroit, I became a lifetime member of Kappa Delta Sorority and made some of the best girlfriends a lady could ask for.

I have a few obsessions. First...the color pink. I love anything and everything that is pink. I love to go to the spa, getting pampered and having my hair done. I also love to dance, go to see movies, take baths, swim, and shop. I have a shopping problem, but it's getting better!

You can usually find me reading the latest issue of Cosmo or In Touch, getting the latest celebrity gossip, or on a shopping marathon (my favorite stores are IKEA, New York & Company, and Target). I also love to explore the many great places we have right here in Colorado. Everything from sight seeing to skiing, going to a new restaurant or finding a great new spot to hang out.
